Exclamation Has anyone noticed the similarities between Magic in OUAT and The Force in Star Wars?
Am I the only one who has noticed the similarities between how magic in OUAT operates and how The Force operates in Star Wars? Unlike traditional magic we rarely if ever see any Magic Wielders in OUAT chant spells instead they simply wield it as Force users in Star Wars be it Sith or Jedi would use The Force. Rumpel uses "force chokes" like Vader did in Star Wars and that translates well for OUAT to explore a character from the Star Wars universe. What if Rumpel is the one that thought Palpatine to master the dark arts that made him the biggest manifestation of the dark side in his realm of a galaxy, far, far away. Now that would be cool.

I'd love for that to happen, but I think it'd be impossible because of licensing rights and other stuff like that.

Well Disney has allowed them to use their Characters and adapt them to OUAT hopefully Lucas will do the same? It's not like they are rewriting Star Wars canon.

I think it was easier to get the Disney rights since the show is produced by ABC and they're owned by Disney.
I don't think Lucas would allow ever that.

Star Wars is actually quite lenient with story writers and have the whole EU (Expanded Universe) to prove it. It could fit as just another EU story...

it could be fun to see, and very enjoyable, but weather they go that route i'm not sure, i don't think they wanna over do it as well, tho in time it could get there i guess. i mean the sky is no where near the limit for the awesome writers of OUAT. so yeah

I'd just like to point out that George Lucas actually does have a lot of interaction with Disney. Just last year he worked with Disney Imagineering to completely revamp the Star Tours ride in the Disney Parks, Disney's Hollywood Studios hosts Star Wars Weekends every Spring, and ILM has been producing effects for Disney projects for decades.

Which is why I would not be surprised if one of this season's episodes end up being called "Sith" , "Jedi" or "The force" or "Of the force and magic" etc.
