Emilie de Ravin as Belle

I have to say Belle is probably my all-time favorite Disney princess so I was pretty thrilled to hear that they were doing an episode around her on Once Upon A Time. But then I heard that they had cast Emilie de Ravin for the part and I had such mixed feelings.

Don't get me wrong. I like Emilie ... she is a talented actress and loved her on Lost but she just didn't seem to fit the picture I had in my head as Belle. I am excited to see the episode to see how she does. Maybe it is the blonde hair (Yes I know there are wigs & hair dye) ... I just don't know.

When I heard she was playing Belle I was definately feeling like this was a miscast. I really couldn't picture her as Belle but after seeing the first pics of Emilie as Belle I was totally proven wrong. I guess with me it was because she was blonde that I just had difficulties imagining her as a brunette.

I finally did ... I agree the brunette hair is definitely a lot more attractive then I originally pictured it. I guess that maybe she is a better fit than I had originally thought!

^I hadn't liked the cast at all at first, specially because Belle is brunette with brown eyes. After seeing the picture I thought it looked perfect though, but the eyes are still wrong... :/

I Loved her in Lost and thought the same. But the picture made it all better for me. She is going to be a knock out Belle.

Belle is amazing. I am excited to see "Claire" play her. She's beautiful just like Belle!

I love Emile as Belle. She looked so familiar to me and then I realized she was Curupira on Beastmaster tv series. Hope she has a bigger role in Season 2.

I have loved Emilie De Ravin for years. Anyone see her Roswell??
Belle is also my favourite Disney princess so when I sat down to watch that episode I had never been so excited in all my life ha. I rang my mam and everything. (Over the top I know :')) I think she is a great Belle. From previous roles I have seen her in she proves to be an amazing actress.
Belle is such a soft but independent character and I Emilie conveys this amazingly. Can't wait to see what else she has to offer in Season 2!
