Very true, the Queen really doesn't show much hesitation when she feels betrayed or wronged. And Henry has definitely stood his ground against from day one(telling her she's not his mother, insinuating she is in fact the Evil Queen and caster of the dark curse) do I don't really know why she has not harmed him, or why she was so clearly terrified when he ate the apple turnover. Maybe she views him as the last tangible bit of her long lost father? she did name him Henry after all. Or maybe she will need him for something later on in the series?? She seems to only keep things around that have use to her, the rest she just "throws away."

I don't think Regina thinks that far ahead...her foresight doesn't seem as great/vast as Rumple. So I don't think she will need him later on.

Or maybe she's trying to be as good a parent to Henry was her father was to her. Maybe she thinks of this as her punishment, she was a rather ungrateful child too. I totally thought in the beginning that her father Henry was her butler and she killed him too. I mean her father did genuinely have her best interest at heart and stuck by her, too bad he was too weak to protect her from his wife Cora.

totally thought he was the butler too haha. and also wondering about whatever became of Cora, read somewhere that she could be the Queen of Hearts...she didn't show her face in the wonderland episode. but i dunno if i agree with that theory. but ever since Regina became Queen we really haven't seen much of her. But going back to Henry, maybe Regina still thinks she can use him as leverage somehow? she tried to convince him in the season finale that she really did love him. Maybe trying to regain any last bit of possible loyalty from him? She really has no one on her side at his point now that everyone has woken up. I also think that Jefferson is more powerful than we think. Think about it: he has possession of that hat which leads him to that room full of doors to other worlds. If he's visited Wonderland he's probably visited other places as well. and Regina herself said to him "I forgot how magnificent you are" when they went through the hat together. Big words of compliment from such an evil woman.

Yeah...Regina would seem like the type to get rid of her once she has the power to. I mean Snow might have betrayed her but Cora KILLED her love. But I think Cora is not that easy to kill.

I think she does love Henry and isn't just manipulating him. But she probably is wondering why despite her love for him, she wasn't the one to break the curse (granted she didn't kiss him).

The thing with Regina is, the people that are loyal to her are also the people that are expendable to her. Poor Sydney...loved her, and was used then locked up. Catherine thought of her as a genuine friend was Regina asked Gold to kill her.

I agree that Jefferson is powerful and he seems to be quite knowledgable as well but too nice for his own good. I mean Regina didn't just lie to him once but TWICE and he still let it go. I mean he knew about Belle and she's a well kept secret.

Just had a thought when reading the above response. Wasn't Emma the chosen one to break the curse? The curse is broken! What if Henry is the one who will ultimately restore order to FTL? That may be a good reason as to why Regina has not got rid of him. Keep your enemies close and your enemies closer. By keeping Henry close she still has total control over his future. Now that magic is back it will be interesting to see if Emma takes sole custody of Henry or if Regina will continue to fight for him...

Now that we know Hook is coming I had a thought on the role he or even Peter Pan may play in Henry's life. I had the thought that it is possible that Belfare was sent to Neverland by the blue fairy thus becoming Peter Pan. Somehow Peter Pan comes into the real world...grows up...develops a dark side and is ultimately Henry's father. Maybe he meets Emma as a younger (teenager) in one of the foster homes she lived in (maybe a grown up Wendy was one of Emma's foster parents?). Belfare being Peter Pan would explain the time laps allowing an older Belfare to be the same age as Emma, also it would also allow him access between Neverland and the Real world.

Hook possibly would know about Henry and He may be the one that "procured" Henry for Gold. If Belfare is Peter Pan there would be a natural tension between Hook and Gold once they put two and two together.

I also read somewhere else a theory that Hook is actually Henry's father...I thought this could be an interesting path to take for the writers...

Actually Rumpelstiltskin never claimed Emma would break the curse, just that when she returns it would start the battle.

Of all the theories I've heard this is my favorite. I really want Henry's dad to be a bad guy.

Someone mentioned that Henry's father might be a married man, and I think that is a large possibility. In the first episode Emma was trying to make the man stop cheating on his wife. And perhaps when she was 18 she was pretty angry and reckless enough to mess around with a married man. I don't know if Rumple or Bae had any influence in her life then... if they did, Bae would have much more power to do something than Rumplestiltskin since Rumple is restricted to Storybrooke. I have a feeling that Bae will be a Big Good- he might actually be somehow seeing everything that is happening and planting and planning something that could make his father a good person. Ever since that episode with August tricking Rumple I've thought that Rumple can actually be tricked. Or just that his soft spots make him careless. Honestly it made me love him more

he might be bad but is he from FTL? If so he must have come much earlier before Regina's curse on the other hand if he is from our world he might have connections with the government that might prove detrimental for the people of Storybrook.
