Aurora's age

Around 0:22 Regina says Aurora curse was broken around the time Daniel died. But the girl they've cast as Aurora is in her early twenties and is too young. Snow was 7 when Daniel died. So if they go with Aurora being 16 and that's at least 13 years which means Aurora should be about 29. I'm guessing they could retcon it but until they do the timeline doesn't fit.

I don't have sound at work, but from transcripts Regina says
It was about the same age you were when that sleeping beauty got the best of you, my dear Maleficent.
So knowing how the twist things, something else could have happened and the sleeping part of the story could have happened later.

Huh. Well now they've retconned it so Maleficent cursed Aurora's mother and then cursed Aurora. i'm guessing Aurora's father saved her mother from the curse obviously. It'd be interesting to go back and see why Maleficent cursed Aurora's mother and Aurora in this version of the fairy tale.

maybe Maleficent cursed the mother, and when it was broken she wanted revenge for her plan failing and tried to do it again this time with the daughter, hoping that Regina's curse would make it worse, seeing that she knew regina had the dark curse and wanted to use it.

I guess. But Maleficent didn't want Regina to cast that curse. If anything I picture Regina and Maleficent maybe getting into another fight with Maleficent trying to retrieve the curse, and turning into a dragon. Then Regina imprisoning her somehow in that form. Cause I don't think the curse did that.

I just watched the pilot again and when the curse reached Snow's castle you could see a dragon flying over. Maybe Maleficent knew that she couldn't prevent Regina from unleashing the curse, so the next best thing she could do was run, or in her case, fly away. And when the curse hit her she was a dragon, that's why she as also a dragon is SB. That's how i see it. ^^

Wow, I never noticed that! That would actually make a lot of sense. I never understood the point of having her stuck in SB as a dragon, so that would explain it. I hope we'll learn more about Regina and Maleficent's story, there's still a lot to tell.

ja i'd like to know how they met in the first place. coz i'm very confused. didn't the apple that snow ate come from the house of the blind-witch? and yet when Regina is talking to melifcent about a sleeping curse she got from her inexchange for the black curse? now how is that possible to be both??
i also recall seeing charming fight malifenct as the dragon to put the golden egg containg the love postion in her for safety so thus she could always shift into the dragon shape for her own protection. maybe thats why she was flying away thinking to get away from the curse and fail. which is why regina kept her in her dragon form as punishent for that betrayal.

I wish Aurora would wear something different or trim her dress! Lol the Lady of the Lake episode where she couldn't keep up was funny! Seriously if she's going to trek thru the woods then dress the part lol
